What to know about the Chicago consulate

Since August 15, 2022, the consulate has been at 8605 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Suite 310. The old address, 177 N State St, is no longer valid.

Its territory has shrunk as new consulates opened: Minnesota went to St. Paul in 2022, and Ohio and Michigan to Columbus in June 2025. Today it serves Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, and it has held events in Indianapolis.

Same-day DUI printing started here in August 2026, and renewals or replacements can also be done online at dui.sv/exterior for $55. Chicago is also the closest DUI center for people in Ohio and Michigan, since the Columbus office doesn't issue them.
